In Our Backyard is growing and lives are being changed as we raise awareness of the reality of human trafficking in all of our backyards. We work locally and nationally to end human trafficking.

Summer Internship Information:

  • Interns will have an opportunity to gain valuable non-profit work experience.
  • Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to valuable work in fighting human trafficking.
  • Internships are two months long.
  • Internships are unpaid and housing is not provided.
  • Interns will report to the Administrative Assistant and Executive Director.
  • Interns will be required to work 20 hours a week.
  • All projects, data and materials created during the internship are the property of In Our Backyard.

Media and Marketing Intern:

The media and marketing intern will be responsible for completing promotional videos, graphic design, web design and providing suggestions for IOB’s social media platforms. Other marketing tasks, phone calls and emails may also be required.

Qualifications: Experience and knowledge of videography, graphic design, web design, social media platforms and marketing.

 

Research Intern:

The research intern will work with a small team and advisor to complete a research project on human trafficking within Deschutes County. This research will include sex and labor trafficking, children and adults. Other research tasks, phone calls and emails may also be required.

Qualifications: Experience and knowledge with research methods and practices, statistics, and working on a team. Must have excellent written and verbal, and computer skills.
